Has Santo been renewed for Season 2? Here’s what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled?

Santo is a crime thriller from Netflix that sees two cops from different parts of the world come together to find a faceless drug lord/cult leader.

What is Santo about?

Santo is a Spanish-Brazilian crime-thriller with a heavy occult twist that follows as Miguel Millán a shady police officer from Madrid, Spain, and Ernesto Cardona from Salvador, Brazil come together to chase down a faceless international drug dealer only known by the name Santo.

Santo is not an ordinary drug dealer, Santo is also like a leader of a cult that performs human sacrifices and many other despicable, satanic rituals. This is not an easy case as no one is willing to divulge any information on who Santo is and this drug dealer is connected to powerful people and has managed to stay hidden for years.

Has Santo been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Santo has not been renewed for a second season. There is no official confirmation on whether Santo will be picked up for a renewal and given the series has just been released, Netflix is bound to give it time to find its audience.

There are many factors to consider, the most prominent one being the cost of production as the show is shot in both Brazil and Spain.

We’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!

What we know about season 2 so far:

Given that the show ended in a cliffhanger, there are hopes that Netflix will be renewing the show and viewers will get to know the fate of Agent Millán’s daughter and Barbara. There is also the question of why Agent Cardona interfered with the arrest of Santo in the final takedown. What is his endgame with Santo? Did he turn and if so will they reunite?

If the show is given the green light for renewal, viewers can expect season 2 in 2023 or early 2024 based on when Netflix gives the go-ahead. Don’t worry as soon as they do, we will update you.
